™ programs successful are the many dedicated volunteers who commit their time to giving their time and talents. 
Volunteers assist in the following ways:
1. Care for the animals
2. Assist with general maintenance of the Dreamcatcher
™ site
3. Help implement programs and special events
4. Fund raise
5. Provide in-kind services such as bookkeeping, public relations, participating as a volunteer director on the board and much more

Front Office Administrator

Qualifications
The candidate must:

  • Possess a degree or diploma in Business Administration OR have equivalent experience and be willing to undergo training
  • Have a background working with vulnerable populations in a psychology or mental health setting
  • Be proficient with Microsoft Office/365, specifically Outlook, Word, Excel, Publisher, Power Point
  • Be proficient in Weebly and skilled in website editing
  • Be skilled in Jane Clinic Management Software
  • Have quick and efficient typing speeds and be skilled in reading, numeracy, writing, working in a fast-paced environment and under pressure with repetitive tasks and deadlines
  • Have sound decision-making, critical-thinking, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Work well in a team setting and independently, while being patient, understanding, and pleasant
  • Provide a recent Criminal Records Check, Child Intervention Record Check, and a minimum of 2 employment references. 
 
Responsibilities
The successful applicant will be responsible for the following:
  • Communicate with the public through a variety of technologies including telephone, fax, email, and social media platforms.
  • Answer inquiries about various services and programs – must have sufficient knowledge of Dreamcatcher operations
  • Maintain a detailed daily record of communications with the public and clients, emailing them to each staff member at the end of the day
  • Create and maintain various databases through Excel to track program inquiries, program statistics, and analyze the data monthly
  • Review and implement necessary edits to the business website hosted by Weebly
  • Client Management: Oversee client intakes; input new referrals into Jane database; schedule clients utilizing Jane database; Use Jane reporting tool to ensure clients are booked each month with their respective therapist
  • Greet clients as they arrive and ensuring they are comfortable in the waiting area (offer tea/coffee, etc).
  • Client Payments: Receive client payments at the beginning of each session and provide appropriate receipts;
  • Follow up on missed client payments; process payments through insurance, agency contracts, credits cards, email money transfers, and cash; have clients sign invoices to submit to agencies as necessary
  • Month End: Create and submit monthly agency invoices for payment; track monthly expenditures and income, and organize all pertaining paperwork
  • Monitor agency contracts for expiry dates and number of hours available per client
  • Receive and process new contracts and assist in ensuring therapists’ paperwork is sent in a timely fashion
  • Assist with ordering and distribution of advertising materials when necessary
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of client accessible areas such as reception, bathroom, and waiting area
  • Maintain a professional, comfortable atmosphere and environment
  • Troubleshoot technological devices such as VoIP Telephone System, Printer/Fax, Computer, Laptop, SLR Camera, Camcorder, Bluetooth devices
  • Assist as needed with minor animal care
  • Any other tasks required by the Executive Director, Manager of Operations, Senior Therapist, Volunteer Coordinator, or Marketer
  • This description is subject to change and develop over time.

Hours
  • 30 hours weekly; Monday – Thursday 830am – 430pm; 30-minute unpaid lunch

Compensation
  • Starting wage of $17 per hour. At completion of 3-month probationary period candidate has potential to increase to $19 per hour.

Digital Marketer

Our office is looking for a Part-Time Digital Marketer to join the Dream Team! The Digital Marketer will:

1. Have post secondary education in Digital Marketing or E-Commerce, and be proficient in editing software such as Microsoft Office, Adobe, Canva, Loomly, etc
2. Have solid knowledge of marketing techniques and principles
3. Create and edit meaningful written, video, and photo content for the business social media accounts such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, TikTok, Pinterest, etc. This marketing material will be created with extreme accuracy and clarity that coincide with the vision and branding of the Business
4. Be educated in SEO, analysing statistics, developing marketing strategies, tracking campaign performance, and performing market research to assess current trends
5. Manage and assist in the development of Dreamcatcher’s social media pages, platforms, and programs, including but not limited to required follows up and digital communication, running regular social promotions, campaigns and tracking their success (e.g. Twitter chats, Instagram polls, SEOs, etc)
6. Create, organize and ensure packages are professionally arranged of the main services for the Business’s Tourism, Academy, Student and Counselling programs
7. Develop and implement new marketing initiatives and ads to engage and identify new social networks to reach our target audience
8. Have knowledge with video editing software, and competency in working with quality cameras and video cameras
9. Stay up to date with current culture, product, industry, and social media trends and incorporate them on social media platforms
10. Create new social media outlets and additional channels that may be deemed relevant to increase the Business awareness
11. Develop new content for digital media updates, campaigns, and programs such as on Dreamcatcher’s websites and other marketing platforms
12. Create shareable content appropriate for specific networks to spread both Dreamcatcher’s brand and content
13. Assist in the planning, scheduling, and coordinating of events for Dreamcatcher
14. Edit website content and provide constructive feedback to better the website for user experience
15. Provide the Business with the details of any difficulties encountered with any aspect of the editing position or administrative duties, including, without limitation, complaints and critical incidents
16. Provide the Business with the details of any difficulties encountered with harassment or bullying affiliated with the Business, any personnel of the Business, or any component of the hired position
17. Conform to the Business policy and procedures, code of ethics regarding appropriate dress, language and other codes of conduct
18. Process sensitive and confidential information with judgement and tact, recognizing time constraints, focus and other implication
19. Participate in cross-training efforts with other staff to ensure possession of all tools necessary to serve the Business
20. Provide a recent Criminal Records Check, Child Intervention Record Check, and a minimum of 2 employment references.

Registered Psychologist / Clinical Social Worker
Contract Job 

Dreamcatcher
™ Nature Assisted Therapy is a psychology private practice located on a ranch in Ardrossan, Alberta. Dreamcatcher’s population includes children and youth with neurodevelopmental challenges, multiple mental health diagnoses, trauma, addictions, emotional and behavioural concerns as well as people with a variety of disabilities. Dreamcatcher™ also provides services to adults with a range of life issues and people with complex needs.
 
Dreamcatcher
™ therapists work in a natural setting with animals while conducting counselling and therapy sessions. Dreamcatcher™ is recruiting for a Registered Psychologist or Clinical Social Worker who is cross trained in Animal and Nature Assisted Therapy (AAT) and Equine Facilitated Counselling (EFC) methods. Experience in other mediums such as Talk, Art, Play, EMDR and Sand Tray therapies is an asset. The candidate will work on contract with the private practice starting with part-time hours with the intention of moving into a full-time contract position. A candidate willing to work evening or weekend hours is preferred and work hours can be flexible. Candidates must possess a minimum of a Master’s degree and be registered with their respective regulatory body. Social Workers must be on the Clinical Registry and Psychologists must be fully registered. Only those applicants meeting the minimum requirements will be contacted for interviews. Statement of Qualifications:
1. Registered Psychologist, Clinical Social Worker with a minimum of a Master’s degree.
2. Minimum of 2 years experience working with children and youth with complex needs consisting of multiple mental health diagnoses, cognitive disabilities, emotional/behavioral issues, addictions and/or trauma backgrounds. 
3. Must have horse experience.
4. Must have a compassionate understanding and appreciation for animals of all species as well as for nature.
5. Must have a minimum of basic training in AAT and EFC or be willing to train.
6. Must be willing to work outdoors in all conditions if necessary, all seasons of the year.
7. Must be flexible in joining a growing team and be open to balancing a variety of tasks.

Assets:
1. Being of Indigenous Descent is a strong asset.
2. Preference will be given to those applicants with horse experience.
3. Being approved providers for FNIHB is preferred.
4. Being skilled in Assessments is preferred.
