Psychologists will guide and facilitate each participant to learn about themselves, evaluate their current patterns of behaviour and thinking and then implement alternate, healthier methods of expressing themselves. Through interactive work with the animals, participants will discover, learn, grow and find balance.
These camps are designed to:
  • Encourage healthy thinking; how to express and manage emotions appropriately, self-esteem and confidence, increase self and body awareness, develop assertiveness and healthy boundaries through appropriate communication and gain new life skills through interactions with horses and other animals in a natural setting.
  • Allow participants to spend much of the retreat interacting with equines and other animals, many of whom were rescued and are now thriving with the love and acceptance of the people who attend Dreamcatcher™ programs.
  • Encourage participants to engage in fun yet challenging activities, including learning to communicate and develop a healthy relationship with many different animal species, to work as a team to accomplish a variety of animal-related tasks, exploring and respecting nature and developing a mutually rewarding relationship with all the Dreamcatcher™ animals.
Camps can be designed to be therapeutic and/or skill building.
